On this week’s SBAM Weekly Podcast, Michael Rogers talks with Jim Mitte, president of Turtlehut Internet Marketing in Brighton. The firm was recently recognized by the Small Business Association of Michigan as a 2021 DTE Energy, Energy Champion. “These programs, it's a weird phenomenon we have going on where the utility companies are actually helping pay you to use less of their product,” he says. “I just was happy to take advantage of it and tell people about it.”

The Small Business Association of Michigan is the only statewide and state-based association that focuses solely on serving the needs of Michigan’s small business community. On this week’s SBAM Weekly Podcast, Michael Rogers talks with Nikki Weston Finkbeiner, Southeastern Michigan Branch Owner for Reserved Seating Upholstery --  VIP members of the Small Business Association of Michigan. “There are many upsides to recovering furniture instead of replacing it,” she says. “First, it's very cost effective, especially for commercial clients to recover due to the cost of replacement. Second, it's environmentally beneficial to reuse as many materials as possible.”
